This standard applies to oil to fill at overseas production facilities by instruction in KD manual when the engineering specification of factory fill fluid is not specified and to be recommended in owner's manuals for maintenance in general export destinations (except Europe and north America) (hereinafter called "overseas recommended oil").

This standard applies to manual transmissions assembled on medium duty vehicles and axles on all vehicles. This standard is not applied to the transmissions or axles supplied from equipment manufacturers who requires to use their recommended lubricants.
